QUIET IN THE LIBRARY: THANK YOU, CORY PYKE AND LOCAL BUSINESSES

Librarian Dottie Cheever writes: I think our new wall of water really does quiet the kids who sit by it. The water fountain was paid for by donations from community businesses. Cory Pyke (class of 2008) and some friends went around collecting money to donate a water fountain to the library. He wanted to get enough to buy a table model, but he kept getting more and more money so that in the end he had enough to buy the fountain wall. It runs on a pump which brings the water up and flows it over the top, down the glass. I think it will help put moisture into the room, which we badly need in the winter.
